Matthew McConaughey volunteered on Thanksgiving Day
Matthew Mcconaughey and his family spent Thanksgiving Day (26Nov15) handing out meals to housebound Texans.
The Dallas Buyers Club star, his wife Camila Alves and their three children visited the Meals on Wheels and More organization in Austin on Thursday (26Nov15) to help needy locals in the actor's home state.
The family spent the holiday delivering meals to the elderly and
disabled, and Matthew posed for 'selfie' pictures with other
volunteers.
Camila took to Instagram.com to share a snap of Matthew and their
kids, Levi, Vida and Livingston, posing in front of a white truck
holding yellow meal bags.
She wrote, "Delivering meals #mealsonwheels to elders in need. They
are so thankful for a meal and a good conversation and the fact
that someone can take their time... So much to be thankful for!
#thankful #warmheart #othersinneed."
Matthew also wrote on Twitter.com, "Delivering meals on wheels
today - meeting some wise and funny folks - happy
Thanksgiving."
The McConaugheys also enjoyed a traditional family dinner together
during the day.
The Oscar winner is not the only star who has been helping out over
the holidays - Chris Brown joined a charity organization to hand
out turkeys in New York, while rapper Snoop Dogg took part in a
similar scheme in Inglewood, California.
The hip-hop star even pledged to take part in the turkey giveaway
every year, saying, "This is my second home. Inglewood has been
good to me from day one and that's why I love Inglewood and I just
want to let y'all know I'm gonna be doing this every year. I'm
sorry I'm late but I (am) giving you some big fat turkeys so y'all
can get your eat on for Thanksgiving (sic)."
