Matt Damon to show off grey hair in new Bourne movie
Matt Damon is to show off his natural grey hair onscreen for the first time after he was told not to dye it for the new Bourne movie.
The Hollywood actor has been colouring his locks for the last few years after he began to show signs of ageing, but he is thrilled to be able to keep his natural silver hue when reprising his role as secret agent Jason Bourne in his upcoming return to the action franchise.
He tells News.com.au, "We've just done one week of shooting (on the
new movie) and it was spectacular. It's been great to slip into
that old skin again. Hopefully it'll be as good as the other three
films. The others take place over a two-year period so technically
this is Jason Bourne back after 12 years, and so it really
separates it from the others. And Jason has grey hair now so I
didn't have to dye my hair, thankfully. I actually got to use my
own grey hair in a movie."
Damon previously blamed his grey hair on being a father to four
kids, joking, "I have grey hair. I've four kids now and man did my
hair go grey quickly!"
The actor starred in three Bourne films, but sat out the fourth
installment, The Bourne Legacy. He has returned to the series for
the currently untitled fifth film, which is slated for release next
year (16).
