Marla Maples' ex-manager sentenced to jail for harassment
Marla Maples' one-time manager has been sentenced to 60 days behind bars after pleading guilty to harassing the actress.
Chuck Jones, 71, confessed to the aggravated harassment and weapons charges last month (Feb14) relating to threatening emails he sent to Donald Trump's ex-wife in 2012.
The shoe-obsessed man, who served as the former beauty queen's
representative in the early 1990s, admitted to the counts as part
of a plea deal, which also requires him to undergo counselling and
serve five years probation.
During a formal sentencing hearing in a New York court on Friday
(21Mar14), Jones was also ordered to abide by a restraining order
obtained by Maples banning him from contacting the blonde or her
daughter, Tiffany Trump, for eight years.
Jones had previously been ordered to stay away from Maples, 50, and
her 20-year-old daughter after his 1994 conviction for stealing
multiple pairs of high heels from his former client, reports the
New York Post.
His lawyer Donald Vogelman says, "Mr. Jones is glad that this case
is over and looks forward to a fresh start. He has put Marla Maples
behind him and only wishes to spend more time with his children and
grandchildren."
