Mark Ruffalo to play twin brothers in TV series

Mark Ruffalo is heading back to TV to portray twin brothers in a new series.
The Avengers actor will play Dominick and Thomas Birdsey in I Know This Much Is True, an eight-episode series based on Wally Lamb's book of the same name. It will center on the brothers as they go through life in the 20th century.
Ruffalo has been working with Derek Cianfrance for the past two years on the project, according to Deadline.com. The actor will also serve as executive producer alongside Cianfrance, who will adapt and direct.
The series will air on American cable network HBO, but a premiere date has not been announced.
Ruffalo last appeared on TV in HBO's The Normal Heart in 2014. He also starred in 2000's The Beat and 1998 TV movie Houdini.
