Mariah Carey takes kids to park in ball gown

Stylish superstar Mariah Carey even dresses up for a park playdate - she recently spent quality time with her young twins in a stunning gown.

The R&B diva took three year olds Moroccan and Monroe to a playground near the family's New York home on Monday (02Jun14), and she made sure she stood out from the other moms in the park by wearing a white floor-length, fishtailed ball gown.

Carey posted a photo of herself pushing her kids on the swings, with the caption, "sinking into the rubber mats... lol (laugh out loud)", referring to the high heels which weren't quite appropriate for the protective floor covering underneath the swingset.

The Hero singer happily posed with a couple of moms and their kids who were also enjoying a day at the park, calling them her "new friends" in a picture posted on the photo sharing app.

Carey's park visit comes just days after the New York native ditched her usual luxury transport and headed home from a formal charity gala on the subway - also wearing a floor-length gown.
