Margot Robbie and Frank Ocean star in new Calvin Klein campaign
Margot Robbie and Frank Ocean are among the stars to front Calvin Klein's upcoming autumn (16) campaign.
The new additions to the collection were announced via a video on the brand's Snapchat account on Tuesday (05Jul16).
In addition to The Wolf Of Wall Street star and R&B singer,
other faces fronting the new collection include rapper Young Thug,
Colombian soccer star James Rodriguez, Henry Rollins, Vogue
creative director Grace Coddington, Vine star Cameron Dallas and
model Kate Moss, who has been with Calvin Klein for years.
In the SnapChat video, each star shares their ideas on love, with
Margot describing it as "painful" and "terrifying", while Kate says
romantic love is good for "diamonds".
Margot was recently tapped as the face of Calvin Klein's fragrance
Deep Euphoria, the latest offering in the Euphoria perfume
range.
She previously told Women's Wear Daily that she vividly remembers
the brand's advertisements from nearly two decades ago, which
included her fellow fall collection star Kate.
"I loved the campaigns featuring Mark Wahlberg and Kate Moss in the
early '90s," Margot gushed to WWD. "Yeah, they were provocative,
but the simplicity made them so cool. Calvin Klein has always felt
so effortless. Effortlessly cool, effortlessly sexy, effortlessly
sophisticated. Never trying too hard. I think that’s what I love
about it so much."
With a younger, more driven female audience in mind with this
product, Vincent Brun, senior vice president of global marketing of
Calvin Klein Fragrances, Coty Inc., knew Focus actress Margot was
the one to promote it.
"That’s why we went for Margot Robbie," he smiled. "She embodies a
young generation of empowered independent women. She’s very Calvin
Klein. She’s very sensual but at the same time, she’s
sophisticated."
