Man vomits on audience during Paul Rudd's Broadway show
Paul Rudd's turn in Broadway play Grace is making theater fans sick - one man vomited from a balcony during Wednesday night's (14Nov12) show.
Rudd is currently starring in the first official run of Craig Wright's production alongside fellow cast members Michael Shannon and Ed Asner at the Cort Theater in New York, and fans flocked to see the show on Wednesday.
However, audience members in the orchestra section got a shock when
they were showered in sick after a man fell ill in the
mezzanine.
A source tells New York Magazine, "The stench of the vomit was a
little overwhelming, and many people were noticeably uncomfortable,
and of course everyone who was vomited on left."
The actors battled through the ruckus, but Rudd couldn't help but
mention the incident during a speech he gave to boost donations for
the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids charity at the end of the
performance.
The insider adds, "At the end of the show, they all made jokes
about it, Paul Rudd saying how as an actor, being able to move
people to tears or to laughter is amazing - but moving them to
puking is a whole different league.
"Then after the show, at the stage door, the actors said how they
almost stopped the show because they didn't know the severity of
the situation."
