Man booked for trespass after swimming near Taylor Swift's home

A swimmer has been booked for trespassing after drifting too close to Taylor Swift's beachside home during a midnight dip.

The unnamed man was taken in by cops in the early hours of Wednesday morning (15May13) after he was spotted by the pop star's security team in waves off the coast of Rhode Island, near her luxury home.

The 22 year old, from Chicago, Illinois, told cops he was enjoying a swim but got too close to the shoreline and turned back when he spotted Swift's security officers.

Editors at TMZ.com report the man was taken into custody and booked for trespassing.

Swift purchased the luxury property last month (Apr13).
