Madonna tour announcement a fake

A press release announcing details of Madonna's 2012 touring plans has been branded a fake.

A statement, allegedly posted online by bosses at tour promotion company Live Nation on Thursday (13Oct11), listed a series of dates - beginning in New Zealand - for Madonna's much-anticipated new world trek.

But the Material Girl's longtime representative Liz Rosenberg has revealed the information is false.

However, it has been confirmed that the singer will release her new album in the spring. She has reteamed with top producer William Orbit for the project.
