Macklemore & Ryan Lewis back new web platform for music

Rap stars Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are producing a series of guidance videos to help stars using a new online music platform.

Bosses at Wix.com unveiled Wix Music 2.0 on Wednesday (21Oct15), boasting the service is a "one-stop-shop technological solution for musicians" and will help pop stars manage their career and get their music out there while staying free of record company controls.

As part of the launch, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are creating a series of films on how to succeed in the music industry for users of Wix Music 2.0.

Macklemore says, "Wix Music allows musicians to grow their business while staying true to the art they create. What made their platform so dope (good) to me was seeing an artist in control. The internet is crucial for today's artists and Wix Music is a great tool to let them leverage it to the fullest degree. You can create your own website, sell your music, engage your fans, sell merchandise and all from one location while staying true to yourself."
