Luke Bryan crashes wedding during American Idol tryouts

Luke Bryan helped to surprise a couple of newlyweds by crashing a wedding ceremony over the weekend (28-29Oct17).

McKenna Neidlinger and Austin Lipski had just exchanged vows in Savannah, Georgia on Saturday, when the new American Idol judge entered the reception at the Charles Morris Center.

The wedding guests applauded Bryan and danced to some of his songs.

According to People magazine, American Idol producers called McKenna's mother ahead of the nuptials to ask her if Bryan could crash the wedding and she told them "absolutely".

In video footage from the event, Bryan poses for photos and enjoys champagne with the newly-married couple.

"We just did a day of auditions and we found out that, like, two minutes away, there's a real, live wedding happening," he says in the promo. "We heard that they're big fans of mine, so we're going to go have some fun and crash a real wedding, real quick."
