One Direction star Louis Tomlinson is planning to make a bid to buy British soccer club Doncaster Rovers, according to a U.K. report.
The pop star is a lifelong supporter of the sports team and even played with Doncaster's reserve squad in February (14) against rival club Rotherham United.
Britain's The Sun newspaper now reports the Story Of My Life
hitmaker has partnered with businessman John Ryan to set up a trust
to buy the club.
A source tells the newspaper that Tomlinson and Ryan, who are
reportedly planning to act as co-chairmen if their bid is
successful, are hoping to purchase the sports organisation
outright.
Ryan served as chairman of the club for 15 years but stepped down
in November (13) following a reported takeover bid.
