Lorde & Taylor Swift hang out together

New best pals Lorde and Taylor Swift hit the beach together in Malibu, California on Saturday (22Feb14) and gave the paparazzi a gift by spending the rest of the weekend shopping and chatting.

The break-out New Zealand star and Swift became mates last year (13) and they have often hung out together at awards shows, but they took their friendship to the next level over the weekend when the country star offered to treat the teen to a day out at the beach.

The two singer/songwriters were spotted strolling along the sand at Paradise Cove on Saturday afternoon and Swift even posted a photo of the barefoot stars on her Instagram account alongside the caption: "Bare feet in the sand on Saturday."

Lorde and Swift had so much fun at the beach, they teamed up again the following day to go shopping in Brentwood, Los Angeles, where they were hounded by the paparazzi.
