London Grammar axe shows after singer falls sick

British music trio London Grammar have been forced to axe a number of shows this week (beg03Feb14) after singer Hannah Reid fell sick with influenza.

The band is currently on tour in the U.K., but several dates have been called off after frontwoman Reid was deemed unable to sing.

London Grammar scrapped a show in Brighton, England on Monday (03Feb14), and Reid did not recover in time to perform at a gig in the British capital the following night (04Feb14), telling fans in a post on Twitter.com, "So sorry London Grammar fans I can't sing tomorrow at the London show. Devastated... Flu has struck and I sound more like a goat than a singer!"

Both shows have been rescheduled, and Reid has now returned to Twitter to insist she is well enough to perform at the band's next tour date in Liverpool, England on Friday (07Feb14).

She writes, "Just to let you know I am fit as a fiddle (almost) and all shows are on! Thank you (for) being supportive London Grammar fans."
