Little Mix replace Jesy Nelson with cardboard cut-out
Little Mix replaced Jesy Nelson with a cardboard cut-out at a gig after she was unable to join the band due to an ear infection.
The British pop stars headed to Japan without the singer after she fell ill ahead of the promotional trip, and they have been detailing their visit to the Far East in a series of pictures posted on Instagram.com.
They have been travelling around with a lifesize cardboard replica
of Jesy, and they even took the cut-out onstage with them for a
gig.
A picture posted on the group's account shows Perrie Edwards, Jade
Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock posing onstage with the fake Jesy
in front of a crowd of fans.
"Japanese Mixers!! We had so much fun Getting Weird with you
yesterday! Your outfits were so cute & creative!" they added in a
caption.
A video which was also uploaded to Instagram shows the girls
dancing around the cardboard cut-out, which has been adorned with
pink ear muffs.
In another clip, which was retweeted on the band's official Twitter
page, Little Mix are seen appearing on a Japanese TV show with the
figure, and hugging it as they explain Jesy's absence.
"Hey guys unfortunately I have a... horrid ear infection that is
not allowing me to fly and see you beautiful Japanese mixers
(fans)," Jesy wrote in a post on Twitter as she announced the news.
"I am so gutted that I'm not gonna be able to come over and see you
guys again I love you all very much & I can't wait to see you again
soon."
