British girl group Little Mix are using their vocal skills to raise money for charity by recording the official single for the U.K.'s Sport Relief campaign.

The X Factor U.K. alums have recorded a new version of Cameo's 1986 hit Word Up for the charity, which raises cash for good causes via sporting events.

Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards shares her excitement about the band's latest venture in a statement that reads: "We've all seen people push themselves and do incredible things for Sport Relief so it's a dream come true to be releasing the official single this year."

Word Up, which has also been a hit for former Spice Girls star Melanie Brown and Scottish band Gun, will go on sale as a download on 16 March (14), and the Sport Relief Games will take place from 21 to 23 March (14).
