Lindsay Lohan's father stages intervention
Lindsay Lohan's father attempted to stage an intervention at the star's Los Angeles home on Friday (19Oct12) after growing concerned about her lifestyle amid reports she missed a voice recording session for her new movie The Canyons.
Screenwriter Bret Easton Ellis hit out at the Mean Girls star online on Thursday (18Oct12) and appeared to suggest Lohan, who portrays lead character Tara in the forthcoming thriller, had skipped an automatic dialogue replacement (ADR) appointment for the film.
Her representative insisted the actress simply had to rejig her
busy schedule to accommodate the promotion of her new Elizabeth
Taylor TV biopic, telling Hollyscoop.com, "Lindsay did not miss
anything. (She) has started promoting Liz & Dick and her schedule
had to be changed. That's all."
But the initial reports prompted Michael Lohan, who has a strained
relationship with his daughter, to visit the star's Beverly Hills
home on Friday to check on her wellbeing.
He tells E! News that a man who called himself the actress'
boyfriend wouldn't let him enter the property - but the 26 year old
has since dismissed the allegation.
In a post on her Twitter.com page, she writes, "I don't have a
boyfriend. I have Chanel, Hermes and diamonds."
A representative for Lindsay Lohan has declined to comment on the
incident.
The latest Lohan drama comes a week after the star dismissed rumors
suggesting she had slipped back into her wild ways following weeks
of headline-grabbing antics and insisted she is sober.
She was arrested in New York last month (Sep12) for allegedly
clipping a pedestrian with her car, and she also accused a man of
assaulting her in a dramatic scene at a hotel in the city. Lindsay
Lohan hit headlines again earlier this month (Oct12) after cops
were called to her family home in Long Island to investigate
allegations an argument with her mother, Dina, had turned
nasty.
