Lindsay Lohan racing to complete community service in time - report

Written by . Published: January 23 2015

Lindsay Lohan is facing a race to complete her community service in time for a progress hearing next week (beg26Jan15) after reportedly falling behind on her court-ordered duties due to ill health.

The Mean Girls star was asked to carry out 240 hours of community service, stemming from a previous court case, by 6 November, 2014, but failed to meet the target so a judge extended the deadline until this month (Jan15).

However, Lohan has faced a number of personal problems recently, including a battle with the mosquito-borne chikungunya virus which she picked up during a break in French Polynesia, and editors of TMZ.com report the actress has now fallen behind on her community service.

She has until Wednesday (28Jan15) to make up the hours or she could face a reprimand from the judge overseeing her case.

Lohan fell sick with chikungunya during a sun-soaked vacation over the December (14) holidays and appeared to have made a recovery before she was hospitalised in London earlier this week (beg19Jan15).
