Lindsay Lohan celebrates completing community service
Lindsay Lohan has taken to social media to celebrate completing her community service by the court-ordered deadline.
The Mean Girls actress was given until Thursday (28May15) to complete 125 hours of volunteer work after her previously logged hours in London were rejected by a judge, who questioned their legitimacy.
Lohan raced against time to fulfil her requirement at the Duffield
Children's Center in Brooklyn, New York, and on Wednesday
(27May15), the eve of her deadline, Santa Monica Chief Deputy City
Attorney Terry White confirmed she had completed her
obligations.
The actress later took to Instagram.com to celebrate the news,
writing, "Hard work pays off. Thank you to all those that allowed
me to volunteer while in nyc. God bless you all. Amen."
Lohan's hours will be officially approved in court on Thursday. If
the judge signs off on the report, her period of probation stemming
from a 2012 reckless driving case will be lifted.
