Lily Allen mocks Cheryl Cole over 2003 conviction
Lily Allen has reignited her feud with rival British singer Cheryl Cole by reminding fans of the Girls Aloud star's assault conviction nine years ago.
The Smile hitmaker caused a stir in 2006 when she wrote a song about Cole, and now she's risked enraging her rival by dragging up a court case from 2003 during which Cole was falsely accused of a racist attack.
Last week (ends01Jan12), cops in Austria were called to a hotel
near Innsbruck to deal with a domestic incident involving Cole's
bandmate Sarah Harding, and following reports she is to face a
court over the incident, Allen took to her Twitter.com account to
mock the two singers.
She writes, "Wow 40% of Girls Aloud will have been charged with
assault."
Cole was found guilty of assaulting a nightclub worker following
her 2003 court case but was cleared of any racial element to the
attack.
