Lil Twist sued by Christopher Massey, pleads not guilty to burglary and assault
Rapper Lil Twist was dealt a double blow on Friday (05Jun15) as he was arraigned on charges of burglary and assault and slapped with legal action relating to a brawl with former child star Christopher Massey last year (14).
The Zoey 101 star was hospitalized with minor injuries in November (14) after reportedly clashing with Justin Bieber's best friend and a group of pals following an argument with Massey at the Los Angeles apartment he shares with his brother, That's So Raven actor Kyle Massey.
Police were called to investigate what Massey's family claimed was
a robbery and assault, and on Friday, Lil Twist, 22, was arraigned
for his alleged involvement in the incident.
Lil Twist, real name Christopher Moore, pleaded not guilty to
felony charges of making criminal threats, first-degree burglary,
assault by means likely to produce great bodily injury, assault
with a deadly weapon, grand theft and misdemeanor battery. He faces
prison time if convicted of the counts.
Lil Twist's troubles were compounded on the same day as Massey also
filed legal papers over the dispute.
It's not the rapper's first brush with the law - he was arrested
and charged with a series of traffic offenses, including driving
under the influence (DUI), in 2013, but the DUI count was dropped
last year (14). He was reportedly ticketed for the other offenses,
including speeding, failing to stop at a red light and possession
of less than one ounce of marijuana.
