Liam Payne lands his own emoji and Snapchat filters
Pop star Liam Payne has been turned into an emoji to celebrate the imminent launch of his debut solo single.
The One Direction star has been busy promoting Friday's (19May17) release of Strip That Down, which features Migos rapper Quavo, and on Wednesday (17May17), Liam revealed he has teamed up with bosses at social media firms Twitter and Snapchat to give fans new mobile icons to play with.
Taking to Twitter to debut his own animated likeness, the new dad wrote, "Loving my new emoji thanks @twitter".
He then added the hashtags "#STRIPTHATDOWN" and "#LiamPayne", which both automatically produce the singer's emoji likeness, a side profile image of the star with his quiff brushed forward.
Meanwhile, Liam has also given Snapchat users something to get excited about after revealing there are special graphics in the app's image filters for fans to discover around the globe. The Strip That Down filters are only available in certain locations and feature colorful palm trees with various lyrics from his upcoming single.
"There are some #STRIPTHATDOWN lyrics hiding in @Snapchat filters around the world for you guys to find...," he added in a follow-up tweet. "Go find them and tweet them with #STRIPTHATDOWN..."
He then listed the locations where the filters are available, with fans in cities such as London, New York, Los Angeles, and Miami, Florida all getting to experience the Snapchat fun, as well as residents in big cities in Canada, Australia, and Brazil.
It's the latest big promo push from a One Direction star - Harry Styles released his self-titled debut solo album last week (ends12May17), while Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson have both enjoyed a taste of their own chart success since the band went on an extended hiatus last year (16). Former member Zayn Malik went solo in 2015.
