Liam Hemsworth: 'I'm extremely happy for Miley Cyrus'
Liam Hemsworth is adamant there are no hard feelings between him and his ex-fiancee Miley Cyrus, and dismissed rumours suggesting he has rushed into a new romance with Mexican actress Eiza Gonzalez.
The Australian actor has broken his silence on the former couple's split for the first time since they broke up in September (13), more than a year after they became engaged, revealing he is thrilled the singer has scored a big hit with her new album, Bangerz.
In an interview with news show Extra, he says, "I'm extremely happy
for all of her success."
The Hunger Games hunk also admits his fling with Gonzalez, who he
was spotted kissing just weeks after breaking off his engagement to
Cyrus, was short-lived, adding, "I don't have a lady at the
moment."
Hemsworth's kind words for his ex-fiancee come after she told TV
host Ellen DeGeneres last month (Oct13) that she has already moved
on from the relationship.
She said, "It's not really as awkward (as it seems) because I'm
living it. So I think people spend more time actually thinking
about it then I really do. I just believe when a chapter is done
you have to close it and start that new one. That's kind of where I
am right now.
"I felt like I have so much to be thankful for at this time that my
energy hasn't really been focused on that. I've been kind of
impressed with people and how much they have actually shown me
respect."
