Lewis Hamilton in talks with Jay Z's Roc Nation to launch music career - report
British Formula One ace Lewis Hamilton is reportedly in talks with representatives at Jay Z's record label Roc Nation to launch himself as a musician.
The racing driver has been working on his own music at his home recording studio, and has allegedly been talking to industry bosses about a possible release.
A source tells Britain's The Sun, "Lewis has been talking to a few
music industry figures about his music, including Jay Z's Roc
Nation team. It's early days but it looks more and more likely that
he will release some of the songs. Lewis spends a lot of time in
the studio, works with big name collaborators and takes it all
seriously. Formula One is still his number one priority but don't
be surprised if he tries for a pop career too."
Hamilton recently revealed that he built the home studio so his
on/off girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger didn't have to fly back to Los
Angeles to record. The pair split for good earlier this year
(15).
Roc Nation boasts a roster which includes Rihanna, Rita Ora, Kanye
West, Calvin Harris and Shakira.
