Leona Lewis fuming about fake charity

Written by . Published: October 05 2011

Leona Lewis has discovered her name and image have been illegally used for a "fake charity" website.

The Bleeding Love hitmaker is a staunch supporter of animal rights campaigns and has championed causes by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and the World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA), but she was shocked to learn her fame was being misused to con fans into buying products online.

In a series of posts on her Twitter.com page, she writes, "Guys so u no there is a fake charity site using my pictures this site isnt official and isnt giving to charity so please dont buy from them (sic).

"It's disgusting people would pretend 2 b giving 2 charity, using my pictures 2 try and sell there product (sic). Always check the charity number."
