LeAnn Rimes' stepson admitted to hospital

Leann Rimes's stepson was taken to hospital in an ambulance on Saturday (29Mar14) after falling ill during a trip to New York.

The singer was on the other side of the country in Los Angeles when the youngster fell sick and she voiced her concern to fans on Twitter.com after hearing about the emergency involving her husband Eddie Cibrian's 10-year-old-son Mason.

She wrote on Sunday (30Mar14), "Got a text from a friend at 4:30am asking if Mason was ok. Thank God! Mason just called Eddie himself!! It's been a panicked morning not knowing anything and Mason being all the way across the US. Relived to know he's ok."

Mason's mother, reality TV star Brandi Glanville, posted a picture of her son hooked up to monitors and an intravenous (IV) drip but did not give any details about his condition.

She wrote in a post on the micro-blogging site, "Eight hours in the ER (emergency room) this trip to NYC Mason will never forget! 1st (first) trip in an ambulance! All will be fine... Just want to thank all the hard working Dr. (and) nurses & everyone that put up with my crying panicked a*s and help save my babes (sic) life!"

Mason's condition was not known as WENN went to press.
