LeAnn Rimes scraps shows for dental surgery
Leann Rimes scrapped a string of concerts last week (ends29Jul12) to undergo an emergency root canal treatment.
The How Do I Live hitmaker was scheduled to perform in New Philadelphia, Ohio on Thursday (26Jul12) and Carmel, Indiana the following night (27Jul12), but she scrapped the gigs after a painful dentist treatment.
In a series of posts on her Twitter.com page, she writes, "Waiting
on the endodontist to meet me and do a nighttime root canal. This
is one of the craziest things I've ever been through. Trying to
keep my mind off the pain & what's about to happen by saying hi to
you guys. Life does not work on the right schedule sometimes. This
is such bad timing!!!!!... Wish me luck."
Detailing the procedure, she later tweeted, "I got 3 shots in the
roof of my mouth + 1 INSANE shot directly into the half dead, half
ALIVE nerve through the hole he drilled on the backside of my
tooth. That was after the 7 shots in the front of my mouth that
didn't phase (sic) me. I can't get numb so the lengths they must go
to in order to get me there are nuts.
"So sorry to my sweet fans. We'll make it up any show missed as
soon as we can. I'm in bed, have been + trying to alleviate the
pain."
Rimes also cancelled an appearance at Ohio's Lancaster Festival on
Saturday night (28Jul12) to recover, and on Sunday (29Jul12) she
revealed she faces further treatment.
She told her Twitter followers, "Going into an 8 hr surgery tmrw
(tomorrow).....beyond anxious. Thank goodness for a rocking
Anesthesiologist."
