Lea Michele thanks fans for support after Cory Monteith enters rehab
Lea Michele has thanked fans for their well wishes after her boyfriend and Glee co-star Cory Monteith checked into rehab, insisting their supportive messages "mean the world" to the couple.
The 30-year-old actor recently sought professional help to face up to his substance addiction problems and Michele revealed in a statement that she was "grateful and proud" of her partner's decision.
Now, she has personally reached out to her Twitter.com followers to
thank them for their kind messages after the news was revealed late
on Sunday (31Mar13).
In a post on her page on Monday (01Apr13), she writes, "Thank you
all so much for all your love, support, and encouragement. It means
the world to us."
Meanwhile, several of Monteith's TV co-stars have reached out to
their pal to wish him well as he seeks treatment.
Actress Dot-Marie Jones, who plays a school sports coach on the
show, writes on her Twitter page, "Cory Monteith Sweetest man, so
proud of you taking care of you. We are and will always be here for
you. I love you always, stay strong... U (sic) never know what
someone is dealing with in their personal life, don't pass judgment
and love and support it's what I believe it what I do."
Jenna Ushkowitz declares, "Sending lots of love and light to Cory
Monteith. We love you", while Harry Shum Jr. adds, "Supporting Cory
Monteith for his courageous decision. Get well soon my friend!
Proud of you!"
Monteith, who plays McKinley High graduate Finn on the hit show,
will miss filming on the last two episodes in the current fourth
season to continue his treatment.
