Lea Michele a victim of Twitter.com pregnancy hoax

Written by . Published: July 05 2014

Actress/singer Lea Michele has become the latest Glee star to fall victim to internet pranksters after hackers took over her Twitter.com page and posted a false pregnancy message.

The star's fans were stunned to learn she was expecting her first child - so close to the first anniversary of ex-boyfriend Cory Monteith's death - on Friday (04Jul14), in a message that read: "Before this gets out to the media, I would like to announce to my fans that I am pregnant #BabyBoy."

A representative for Michele has since shot down the story, telling the New York Daily News the message is a hoax.

The post on Michele's page comes a day after her co-star Chris Colfer's Twitter.com account was hacked - pranksters posted a message suggesting he had been fired from the hit show due to personal issues.

His rep and show producers quickly dismissed the story as a hoax, while Colfer was in mid-air on a flight.
