Lamar Odom's blood tests positive for cocaine - report

Ailing sportsman Lamar Odom is facing the possibility of drug charges after his blood test reportedly came back positive for cocaine.

The basketball player was hospitalized after being found unconscious at the Love Ranch South brothel in Nevada on 13 October (15). A staff member at the ranch told the emergency services dispatcher that Lamar had confessed to taking cocaine just days before his collapse, prompting police to obtain a search warrant to take a sample of the 35 year old's blood.

Now the results are back and reportedly prove Lamar had the drug in his system, according to TMZ.com.

It's bad news for the star, as Sheriff Sharon Wehrly previously stated it was "distinctly possible" he would be prosecuted for possession or consumption of drugs if his blood tested positive for illegal substances.

Lamar, the estranged husband of reality star Khloe Kardashian, was transferred to Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center last week (ends23Oct15).

Khloe has remained by her spouse's bedside throughout his health battle, but decided he was well enough for her to leave and attend her sister Kim's baby shower over the weekend (24-25Oct15).

The 31 year old, along with the rest of the Kardashian family, had previously made the decision to cease posting material on their apps following Lamar's collapse and hospitalization.

However, Khloe returned to her app on Monday (26Oct15) and announced she is "back in the mix" and ready to post updates for her loyal fan base.

"Thank you dolls SO much for your patience while I needed some time off," Khloe wrote on her website. "I'm excited to be back in the mix bringing you some awesome content. Your love and support has meant the world to me."

The star called off her plans to divorce Lamar last week (ends23Oct15) after initially filing papers in December, 2013.
