Lady Gaga's opening act devastated by tour cancellation

Lady Gaga tour opening act has extended his sympathies to the singer after a hip injury forced her to cancel the rest of her shows.

Teenage electro pop sensation Madeon has been opening for the Poker Face hitmaker at her Born This Way Ball concerts, and he has expressed his disappointed after Gaga axed the remaining dates on her world tour on Thursday (13Feb13).

Madeon has also reached out to Gaga and sent his best wishes as she prepares to undergo surgery to treat the problem.

In a series of posts on Twitter.com, he writes, "Sadly, all of the remaining BTWB (Born This Way Ball) shows (for which I was opening) have been cancelled. My thoughts are with Lady Gaga... The shows so far had been incredible, massive thanks to everyone involved!"

Gaga cancelled the concerts after being diagnosed with synovitis, a severe inflammation of the joints. She is expected to undergo surgery soon and take time off to recuperate.
