Lady Gaga 'planning Italian wedding'

Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney will reportedly wed in Italy, although no date has been set.

The flamboyant singer and Chicago Fire actor got engaged in February 2015, but they have both kept relatively quiet on plans for their big day. It's now been claimed they have started to think about what they want, with Gaga said to have her heart set on a destination day in Italy because that's where her family is from.

"She wants to celebrate her heritage, so they’re looking at places in the Italian countryside. She wants a big Italian wedding,” an insider told New York Post.

Although this has been discussed, the couple are said to be in no rush to nail down the specifics of their big day. That means the date and venue haven't been decided, as Gaga and Taylor are both keen to enjoy being engaged for as long as possible.

However, it's likely the venue will be one of the first things the couple pick as apparently the singer feels everything else will need to tie in with it.

"The venue is going to inspire the dress, so she has to lock that in first. It’ll make her figure out what the dress will be and who will make it," the source said.

It had previously been thought that Donatella Versace was the dress designer front runner, as she and Gaga have been close since the star appeared in adverts for the brand in 2013. She won't be short of offers whatever she decides, as in June last year (15) Gaga admitted that over 30 designers had already presented her with wedding gown ideas.

Gaga and Taylor met after he appeared in the promo for her song You and I and got engaged four years later. Earlier in January (16) Taylor was quizzed on how wedding planning is going, but he refused to be drawn on what they have in store.

"We'll keep it a surprise," he told People when asked about the date.
