Lady Gaga invited back for more American Horror Story
Screenwriter/director Ryan Murphy is so impressed with Lady Gaga's acting skills in American Horror Story: Hotel, he is begging her to sign on for another season.
The pop superstar made her major TV acting debut in the fifth season of the thriller, and now show creator Ryan is eager to have Gaga become a series regular.
"Lady Gaga is so brilliant in AHS Season 5 that yesterday I
officially asked her to join Season 6," Ryan tweeted on Tuesday
(06Oct15), the eve of the programme's premiere. "Say yes
@ladygaga!"
The singer, who trained in musical theater at New York University's
Tisch School for the Arts, has yet to publicly respond to the
offer.
American Horror Story: Hotel features Gaga as The Countess, the
owner of a cursed hotel, and co-stars Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson,
Wes Bentley, Chloe Sevigny and Emma Roberts.
Meanwhile, the Poker Face star has opened up about the nerves she
battled on her first day on set, admitting she was desperate to fit
in with the cast and crew.
"I'm new to acting in a lot of ways...," she tells E! News. "I've
always been someone that was interested in the arts... I have all
this training in these other areas so (coming into American Horror
Story), I was like, 'I'm just going to go to set and I'm going to
know my lines perfectly, but not too perfectly that I can't keep it
loose and live in it. And I'm going to really read the f**k out of
these scripts, over and over and over, 10 times each at
least.'"
As for her hopes for fans tuning into the new season, she adds,
"I'd really like people to watch it and not feel like they're
watching Lady Gaga. I'd like them to feel like they're watching The
Countess... I can't wait for everyone to just enjoy the show."
