Lady Gaga and her dad teaming up for cookbook
Lady Gaga is teaming up with her father to release a cookbook inspired by their family restaurant, Joanne Trattoria.
The Born This Way singer is cooking up the new project with Joe Germanotta, who owns and operates the New York City eatery with his wife, Cynthia.
The Joanne Trattoria Cookbook: Classic Recipes and Scenes from an
Italian American Restaurant will feature a foreword by Gaga.
A description from the book’s publishing company, Post Hill Press
reads: "Family, food, and love are the foundation upon which Joe
Germanotta and his wife, Cynthia, raised their daughters, Natali
and Stefani (aka Lady Gaga). Named for his sister, who died of
Lupus three months shy of her 20th birthday, their family-run
restaurant is built on those same fundamental principals.
"In the pages of this cookbook, Joe has collected recipes and
entertaining anecdotes inspired by his world famous
restaurant.”
Joanne Trattoria has held a special place in New York native Gaga's
heart ever since it opened in 2012, and she even tweeted out a
sweet message for her parents the day their eatery opened its
doors.
"I'm so proud of my parents!" she wrote. "Tonight their restaurant
opens in NY. Joanne Trattoria. My dad built with his two hands,
mommy decorated."
In addition, Gaga had a night to remember on Valentine's Day last
year (14Feb15), when her then-boyfriend, Taylor Kinney, popped the
question to Gaga, and they celebrated their engagement at Joanne
Trattoria with her family.
Gaga and Kinney called off their engagement and split after five
years together last month (Jul16).
The Joanne Trattoria Cookbook will be released on 22 November
(16).
