Lady Antebellum cancel concert due to floods
Country music group Lady Antebellum were forced to cancel a concert on Saturday (12Apr14) due to flooding in Birmingham, Alabama.
The Need You Now hitmakers were set to play at the Oak Mountain Amphitheatre, however, the venue was left severely damaged after the city was hit by severe storms.
The singers took to Twitter.com to express their regret for
cancelling the show, writing, "Hate to not be playing Birmingham
today but pray y'all stay safe and hope the flood recovery goes
smoothly."
Over four inches (10.16cm) of rain flooded the area last week
(6-7Apr14), leaving many residents in need of rescuing.
Lady Antebellum's concert has been rescheduled for 3 May (14), and
the trio are planning to continue their tour on 25 April (14) in
Raleigh, North Carolina.
