Krysten Ritter misses talk show appearance
Actress Krysten Ritter was forced to cancel her interview with talk show host Stephen Colbert on Thursday night (25Feb16) due to the severe weather.
The Jessica Jones star was scheduled to appear on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Thursday but her flight into New York City, where the show is filmed, was rerouted to Virginia, a state which has suffered from severe storms this week (beg22Feb16).
The change to her travel plans meant she could not keep her
interview and she told fans on Twitter.com, "Well - Sadly I won't
be on Colbert tonight - due to weather/air traffic I was rerouted
to Virginia - so bummed to miss it."
The broadcast marked Colbert's 100th episode of The Late Show,
which began airing in September (15) after David Letterman
retired.
The actress, who is new to the Marvel family with the Jessica Jones
TV series, was previously in Portland, Oregon at the Wizard World
Comic Con event over the weekend (20-21Feb16), and she told
Comicbook.com how her new role has changed her life.
"It's so rad! I'm so fortunate to get to play this amazing
character and have this giant built-in fanbase that comes with
Marvel," she said. "I've never done anything in this genre before
so it's been completely life changing. I've never been to comic con
before! This is a whole new ball game for me."
She also teased that she may eventually make an appearance in the
Marvel movies alongside characters including Iron Man and Captain
America, adding, "Obviously, it'd be really exciting to be a part
of those giant, huge movies with those great characters who are
already established, so it'd be awesome... It'd be awesome if I got
to pop up somewhere else. There's always the chance that could
happen."
Ritter is also heading to the famed San Diego Comic-Con in
California in the summer (16).
