Kristin Chenoweth axes U.K. tour
Kristin Chenoweth has been left "devastated" after her entire U.K. tour was cancelled just three days before she was due to perform in London.
A spokesperson for the Broadway star announced the last minute news late on Friday (08Mar13), blaming gig promoters for the unexpected axe.
The statement reads: "We regret to announce that we are unable to
present our planned U.K. tour with Tony and Emmy Award-winning star
Kristin Chenoweth and that the tour has therefore been canceled. We
are deeply sorry to disappoint Kristin's many U.K. fans, who so
readily brought tickets to see her. We wish to make it clear that
the decision to cancel the tour is a result of Speckulation
Entertainment's unforeseen circumstances, and that Kristin is
saddened not to be able to perform here as planned. She was looking
forward to performing to her sold-out audiences."
The blonde beauty subsequently reached out to fans on her
Twitter.com blog to express her shock at the news, insisting she
was all packed and ready to fly out for her first show in London on
Monday (11Mar13).
Alongside a photo of her packed suitcase, Kristin Chenoweth wrote,
"Was ready to go. And now completely devastated. I am Sorry to my
uk (sic) fans. Not a good day. A horrible day.
"UK. Trust me, this isnt (sic) about snow... Trust me nobody is
more heartbroken than I. Devastated."
