Kristen Stewart confirms Robert Pattinson romance

Kristen Stewart has finally confirmed her romance with Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson, insisting it's "so obvious" they are a couple off screen.

Kristen Stewart and British hunk Robert Pattinson portray lovers in the hit vampire film franchise, and they have been romantically linked away from the cameras since the first Twilight film hit cinemas in 2008.

They have persistently dodged questions about their real-life relationship until now - Kristen Stewart accidentally let slip the news during a recent photoshoot for Britain's GQ magazine, when she was asked if she was planning to explore more of the U.K. while filming upcoming movie Snow White and The Huntsman.

She replies, "(Yes), because my boyfriend is English."

Kristen Stewart failed to realize she was due to be interviewed by a reporter for the publication the following day, and subsequently admitted, "I never would have said that if I knew you were interviewing me."

But the private star eventually let her guard down, conceding it's hard to keep her personal life private when both she and Pattinson are in the public eye.

She says, "So much of my life is so easily Googled. I mean, it's like, 'Come on guys, it (their relationship) is so obvious!'"

Kristen Stewart claims they only kept the news quiet because they didn't want to blur the line between fantasy and reality for fans of the Twilight series.

She explains, "I don't think you realize what a big deal it is for people. Well, it is a big deal. They would be 'Oh. My. God...'"

However, the actress is unlikely to open up about her life as Robert Pattinson's girlfriend ever again - because she wants to maintain some privacy.

She adds, "I'm selfish. I'm like, 'That's mine!' And I like to keep whatever is mine remaining that way. It's a funny little game to play and it's a slippery slope. I always say to myself I'm never going to give anything away because there's never any point or benefit for me."
