Kirsten Dunst asks Jumanji bosses to get in touch about cameo
Kirsten Dunst would jump at the chance to get involved in the Jumanji reboot if she was asked.
Double Golden Globe nominee Kirsten starred in the 1995 original movie, opposite Robin Williams, about a mysterious and dangerous board game that unleashes everything from giant spiders to a roaring lion into the real world.
The film is the latest in a long line to get a modern makeover, with Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black and Karen Gillan all starring in the new adventure.
Asked by Entertainment Tonight if she’d want to appear in the movie, which is currently in post-production and slated for a December (17) release, 35-year-old Kirsten admitted said she'd definitely be up for it.
"That'd be fun," she smiled. "I would definitely do something in that if they wanted me to."
However, bosses have yet to ask her to return as a grown up Judy Shepherd.
"I honestly didn't even know they were making a Jumanji movie. I'm offended I haven't been reached out to be in it!” she joked.
Luckily the blonde star is being kept busy with numerous other projects, including new movie Woodstock and the soon-to-be released The Beguiled.
Directed by Sofia Coppola, The Beguiled is a remake of Clint Eastwood’s classic 1971 flick, about an injured Union soldier who arrives at an all-female Southern boarding school during the Civil War.
The film has an impressive cast, with Nicole Kidman, Elle Fanning and Colin Farrell joining Kirsten in the A-list line-up.
"You meet certain people who you just connect with instantly," the actress explained of her friendship with 18-year-old Elle. "If we were together during these interviews, we would just be giggling the whole time. She brings out the 18-year-old in me. I can't handle it. She's so fun and cute and I love her.
"We had such a little shorthand connection with each other. I could just look at Elle and she would burst out laughing."
