Kim Kardashian to guest star on Drop Dead Diva

Kim Kardashian is swapping reality TV for a recurring role in hit comedy Drop Dead Diva.

The brunette beauty has made her name starring in a series of fly-on-the-wall shows alongside her sisters Khloe and Kourtney, as well as the rest of the Kardashian clan.

Now she has landed her first major TV acting job with a recurring guest part on the Lifetime network show, about an airhead aspiring model who is reincarnated as a plus-sized lawyer after she is killed in a car crash.

In a post on her Twitter, she writes, "So excited to announce that I'll be guest starring on Drop Dead Diva Season 4 this summer!!"

Kardashian will play Nikki, a love interest for the show's Fred, played by Ben Feldman. She will make her debut in the summer (12).

The star has previously enjoyed small roles in 2008's Disaster Movie and 2009's Beyond the Break, and has appeared as herself on How I Met Your Mother and 90210.
