Kim Kardashian's early birth threw a wrench in hospital plans

New mom Kim Kardashian was forced to abandon her elaborate plans to dodge the paparazzi when she gave birth last month (Jun13) after doctors urged the reality star to deliver her daughter five weeks ahead of schedule.

The socialite welcomed little North with her rapper boyfriend Kanye West on 15 June (13) and her mom Kris Jenner reveals she and her daughter faced a mad dash to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles for the birth when doctors told the socialite to drop what she was doing and get ready for labour.

During the premiere of her new program The Kris Jenner Show on Monday (15Jul13), she explained, "I was doing (TV show) Good Day L.A., they had sent a limo for me to do it. I was off-line as it's live TV. I hate opening my BlackBerry (phone) after that, and then I've got an email from Kim marked 'urgent.' (It said,) 'I have to have the baby today. Get here today, fast!'"

Jenner quickly made plans to get home, pick up her pregnant daughter and hop into a decoy vehicle at a local hotel, where they ran into Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, who was helping Kardashian plan a Father's Day (16Jun13) surprise for West - a signed computer mouse.

She continued, "We get to the hotel, and we're so smooth, but... (then) I see Steve Wozniak and his wife, Janet, standing in the foyer. Kim then heads over like nothing's wrong to chat to Steve and Janet. She's acting like she's at a cocktail party and I'm panicking. Finally we get in the getaway car. And Kim lies down and then yells, 'Mom! Hit the floor!' We're in a Mini-Cooper and there was no room, but I did it."

The last-minute production went off without a hitch and Kardashian and her mom eventually made their way into the hospital through the kitchen and via a secret elevator unnoticed.

During Jenner's show, she also duped fans into thinking she was debuting little North on the program by walking onstage with a dark-haired baby in her arms, but the tot actually belonged to her stylist.

Joking about the prank, she said, "Kim's just got to do that on her own time. Let her have her privacy for a little bit and calm down. And when she comes out, she comes out."
