Kim Kardashian linked to Los Angeles hospital scandal - report

Kim Kardashian has been linked to a Los Angeles hospital scandal amid allegations employees "inappropriately accessed" medical records of patients during the time the reality TV star was recovering in the facility following the birth of her daughter.

Kardashian and her partner Kanye West became first-time parents when baby North was born at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on 15 June (13), and it has now been reported that several workers have been fired for looking at patients' records in mid-June (13).

Officials at the hospital have announced that 14 patients' files were "inappropriately accessed" between 18 June and 24 June (13), according to the Los Angeles Times.

Bosses at the facility have not revealed if Kardashian, who checked out about a week after North's arrival, was affected by the breach, but editors at TMZ.com report the star was one of the patients targeted.
