Kim Kardashian comes out of hiding in Los Angeles

Kim Kardashian returned to the public eye on Monday (24Oct16) as she stepped out for dessert in her first proper outing since her armed robbery in Paris.

The reality TV star has been laying low at her Los Angeles mansion ever since returning from France after she was bound, gagged, and robbed at gunpoint in her private apartment on 3 October (16).

Kim canceled a series of work commitments and appearances as she recovered from the ordeal, but on Monday, she resurfaced in L.A. as she picked up frozen yogurt treats with her best friend Jonathan Cheban.

Photos of her brief outing, obtained by TMZ.com, show the usually-glamorous mother-of-two dressed down in an oversized white hooded sweatshirt and matching flip flops. She was wearing hardly any make-up, opting for just a little lip gloss.

Kanye West's wife has yet to directly comment on her ordeal, but in the immediate aftermath of the robbery, her representative admitted the star was "badly shaken".

Her sister Khloe shared an update on her recovery during an interview with talk show host Ellen DeGeneres earlier this month (Oct16), admitting, "She's not doing that well. I mean, it's incredibly traumatic what happened to her, but our family is super close and great and we'll get through it together. We do appreciate all of your guys' love and support. It will take time. It was horrible what happened to her."

Meanwhile, Kim, who turned 36 on Friday (21Oct16), has since dropped a federal lawsuit filed against editors at gossip blog MediaTakeOut over a story suggesting her armed robbery scare was faked.

Website bosses issued a story retraction and published an official apology on Monday (24Oct16), prompting Kim to withdraw the legal threat.
