Khloe Kardashian: 'Lamar Odom is making progress'
U.S. reality star Khloe Kardashian is shocked by her estranged husband Lamar Odom's recovery following his drug-related collapse at a Nevada brothel last year (15), insisting it is a testament to his "desire to get better".
The fallen basketball player has spent the last three months in hospitals and medical centers after he was found unconscious following an overdose at the Bunny Love Ranch.
Khloe put a hold on the couple's divorce proceedings and rushed to
Nevada to be by Odom's side as he recovered - and she spent much of
the Christmas holiday offering her support to her husband, after he
was transferred to Los Angeles' Cedar-Sinai Medical Center.
Now the sports star is well on his way to making a full recovery
and Kim Kardashian's sister reveals he was able to walk out of the
hospital when he was released earlier this month (Jan16).
"He's doing good," she told Live! with Kelly and Michael on Friday
(15Jan16). "I'm very happy to report he's doing great. It's such a
relief. It was terrifying and scary. No one knew what was going to
happen.
"What's crazy is, because he's an athlete, I really think having so
many years of working out every single day - he wasn't even walking
three weeks ago, and now he's walking."
"We were able to leave the hospital. He was able to walk out of the
hospital and it was such a great thing," she continued. "You get
strolled on in there, he didn't really even know where he was, and
he (was) able to walk out on his own. So I'm so happy for him and
how he's trying, and he's really making great strides. And that's a
testament to his own will and desire to get better."
