Actor Kevin Hart is going to great lengths to ensure his new comedy The Wedding Ringer is a box office hit after buying out all tickets for two Wednesday night (21Jan15) screenings of the film at a movie theater in Ohio.

The funnyman was in Toledo for a stand-up gig and decided to treat locals to a free movie by paying $5,000 to reserve 500 seats for fans at the Cinemark Levis Commons 12 multiplex in nearby Perrysburg.

He then alerted fans to the giveaway in a series of posts on Twitter.com, writing, "If your (sic) in Toledo OH I need u to get your a** down to the Cinemark At Levi's Commons nooooowwww.....Im (sic) giving out free movie tickets...

"Hurry up before its to (sic) late, Go to the window and say 'Kevin Hart sent me' I bought out the theater for my fans..."

The Wedding Ringer, which co-stars Josh Gad, received mixed ratings from critics, but opened well with a $21 million take over the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day holiday weekend (17-19Jan15) to place second in the box office chart, behind American Sniper.
