Kendall Jenner 'bows down' to Beyonce
Kendall Jenner has learned to "shut up and bow down" whenever she meets Beyonce because she is always nervous around her idol.
Kim Kardashian's supermodel half-sister admits she struggles with crippling shyness at times, especially when she is in the presence of true superstars, like the Formation hitmaker.
"I am 100 per cent a huge fan of Beyonce," she gushed to Harper's
Bazaar. "If I see her, I will faint. I've met her before. I just
get really nervous and quiet - I just shut up and bow down!"
Beyonce isn't the only celebrity Kendall has been anxious to meet;
she was also scared ahead of her initial introduction to Chanel
creative director Karl Lagerfeld.
"I met him at my first fitting for Chanel two years ago," she
recalled. "I was already nervous because it was my first season, my
first Chanel show, and I didn't really know what I was doing. I'm
also pretty shy when I first meet someone..."
However, the meeting went well and the 20-year-old has since become
a firm favorite of the iconic French fashion house.
"I had heard a lot from Cara Delevingne about how funny he is, how
he's normal and just a cool guy," she continued. "Now, every time
we get to work together the relationship gets better."
Kendall's shyness has also impacted her behavior around potential
new friends as she has become more apprehensive about letting
people in to her inner circle.
"I'm not super open to new people," she said. "I have a small group
of people I trust. I'm very intuitive, so I'm good at feeling out
how people are, like if they have bad intentions.
"Sometimes I'm very closed off, which annoys me, but I think it's
for the best."
Elsewhere in the interview, Kendall confesses she used to dream
about a career with animals, either working as a "professional
horseback rider" or a veterinarian, and she heaps praise on her
parents, Kris and Caitlyn Jenner, for giving her and her siblings a
relatively normal upbringing, despite their fame and fortune.
"We were brought up in this abnormal world, if that's what you want
to call it," Kendall quips of growing up on her family's hugely
successful reality show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians. "I feel
like a lot of people say that kids who grow up in that kind of
world go crazy. But it has everything to do with how your parents
raise you. I was raised so normally, or as normally as I could have
been."
