Keira Knightley will never sing on film again
Keira Knightley has ruled out singing onscreen again following her role in Can A Song Save Your Life?, as she was terrified to show off her vocal skills in the new film.
The Brit, who plays a folk singer named Greta in the upcoming romantic drama, admits belting out songs was a traumatic experience she is unlikely to ever repeat.
She tells E! News, "I literally was given the songs for this about
a week before we started shooting. We had to go straight into the
studio, and I had never sung before and I had to just kind of try
and figure it out. So that's what I did. I'm not going to do it
again, that was it. No, no, no, that was my one and only. Come and
see this film, that'll be it."
Knightley previously revealed her husband, Klaxons rocker James
Righton, tried to help her learn guitar for the shoot, and he
wasn't impressed with her musical performance.
She adds, "I think he just laughed a lot really. You know, saying,
'Oh yeah, good luck!'"
