Katy Perry comes up with song ideas in the shower

Katy Perry composes songs in the shower.

The Roar singer admits the sound and feel of pounding water on her body really inspires her and helps her come up with hooks, lyrics and melodies.

"I always have my phone on standby when I hop out of the shower," she tells W magazine.

"I’ve had several sing-offs with boyfriends (in the shower). That’s very fun - singing in the shower and scrubbing!"
