The I Kissed a Girl hitmaker turned 27 on Tuesday (25Oct11) and she reached out to her online followers with a special message on her big day.

Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), in honour
of her milestone.

kitten on her shoulder, alongside the message, "Thank you for
helping me celebrate my birthday by making a donation to the ASPCA.
Please know that your donation is not only special to me, but to
the countless animals you will help save."
