Katie Holmes is new Olay spokeswoman

Actress Katie Holmes has been unveiled as the new face of beauty firm Olay.

The Batman Begins star reveals she jumped at the chance to front a new advertising campaign for the brand's skincare line because she has been using Olay products since she was a teen living in the company's home base of Ohio.

She tells People.com, "It's an Ohio company, so it feels like home to be working with them. They really mean something to women. I remember buying Olay in high school because I wanted to look pretty."

Holmes joins the likes of singer Carrie Underwood and actress Thandie Newton, who have both served as Olay brand ambassadors.
